Don’t worry, it’s actually good news for everyone. Here’s the story:
Last Monday we posted a trick on our blog showing you how to LinkedIn message almost anyone in the world. We were pretty proud of ourselves for uncovering this “hack” with LinkedIn Groups and shared it with our community. Then came the email from fellow sales champ and our close friend Trish Bertuzzi.
She let us know this “hack” was unnecessary and in fact, it was way easier than we had presented.
So, here is the REAL way to LinkedIn Message almost anyone in the world as shared by Trish and verified by us. It’s quite simple:
Go to the group you share. Enter their name in member search. A box comes up. Float your cursor over to the right of the box and click the link that says message. BOOM.. you can send them a message. No hacking necessary. -Trish Bertuzzi
Step 1. Join a group of which your target is a member.
Step 2. Search members name in group.
Step 3. Float your cursor over to the right of the box and click the link that says message.
Step 4. Send away!
Simple huh? Well sorry for having you run around with links. We’re always learning.
But will this work for private groups you can’t join? I think the first method you posted is still beneficial for finding contacts at a particular organization.
