Top 3 Sales Pitches of Mad Men’s Don Draper

It doesn’t take a loyal Mad Men enthusiast to appreciate the style, confidence, and closing of ultra-smooth main character, Don Draper. We’ve scanned the internet looking for the top 3 sales pitches, below is what we’ve found:

Background: Public policy laws have made it harder to promote and brand cigarettes. Draper’s client, Lucky Strike, finds itself in tough times adjusting to the new landscape. After Don’s two minute pitch, you’ll want to pick up the phone and pitch your hottest lead too.

Background: On the brink of losing a client, Draper lays it all out for his cosmetics client and delivers the greatest pitch of the show. His eloquence, pacing, and delivery make it hard not to jot down a few notes in hopes of one day emulating the performance.

Background: Draper’s firm is in charge of creating a way to promote and advertise Kodak’s new product – their “wheel.” Don masterfully takes the audience through a personal story on the newly labeled carousel. After watching, you’ll know why the Kodak Carousel was the “it” item to have in this time period.

Selling has never seemed cooler and after watching the videos above, hopefully you’ll be inspired to close like Don.

Which one is your favorite?

never blocked off time to get into the show, but love draper’s extra pauses for effect.
