Prepping for Dreamforce is on everyone’s minds this week, and it’s getting down to the wire with only a few business days left.
Between setting up meetings for during the event, rehearsing every teammates role on the floor, and preparing follow-up processes, the coordination for preparation isn’t far from that of a Broadway show. And whether you’re using tools like Salesloft, Calendly, or Chili Piper, it’s still going to take the right balance of effort to get your cast stage ready.
That’s why we invited Brad Ansley, Salesloft AE and member of the Salesloft Dreamforce Team, here on SDR TV’s Sales Tips for his advice on prepping for Dreamforce 2016 as a modern sales pro. Check out the video below for his tips and tricks to get ready for performance all the way to curtain call!
Brad’s Advice on Prepping for Dreamforce:
Hey, guys, Brad Ansley here with Salesloft. We’re coming down to the wire with Dreamforce. I’m super excited for the event and wanted to share some of the things that I’m doing to get ready.
Dreamforce is going to be crazy. Everybody’s calendar is already filling up. Any time that I talk to somebody I ask them, are you going to be out at Dreamforce? And if they are, what I’ll do is I’ll send them a link to a Calendly page that I set up. This is just an easy way for them to see what’s available on my calendar and block off some time that works for the both of us.
Another really cool tool that I’m using is Chili Piper. You might’ve seen that we recently integrated with this tool. With Chili Piper, what I’m able to do is when I’m reaching out to people, insert directly into my email times that we can get together out at Dreamforce. And it just makes it very easy for them to pick something and block off the time so we can get together at the Salesloft booth.
For people that I don’t have a scheduled meeting with, we want to make sure that they have a great experience at the Salesloft booth. So what we’ve done is everybody on our team going out there has a very specific role. They might be bringing people to the booth, directing traffic at the booth, or running demos.
But everybody knows what they’re supposed to be doing and have rehearsed that beforehand so that everybody has the best use of time at the Salesloft booth. (Right here, Salesloft booth, come check it out!)
After all of the madness of Dreamforce, it’s going to be difficult to stand out when you’re following up with people. Everybody’s going to have a million conversations, and you really want to make sure that when you’re trying to get back in touch with somebody, that you have an interesting way of doing it.
Hope that’s helpful for you guys in getting ready, I’m super excited prepping for Dreamforce. Book some time to come see us at the booth, maybe even get some free swag, and we’ll see you there.
