Here’s My Number, So Call Back Maybe!

January 22, 2018

Every kind of sales and customer interaction involves callbacks. Sure, the outbound sales development team has fewer callbacks than account executives, and customer success teams have more than the whole sales teams combined. Regardless, for all teams, being able to apply the same Salesloft magic to both outbound and incoming calls is invaluable.

With this callback upgrade, when prospects and customers return your calls, you will have every convenience and advantage you have when you make outbound calls! Know who is calling, save notes, add sentiment/disposition, and get that call logged into Salesforce.

One of the many benefits of this is the pop up you’ll get when you have a returned call. You’ll be able to take the call on your computer or from another device – whichever is most convenient for you.

Here are some other benefits of this enhancement.

Prioritize Your Phone Time: Knowing who is calling allows you to prioritize your outbound dial versus the incoming call with a glance. Just like choosing to answer your boss’s call over a conversation with your buddy (never the other way around, no way), you will be able to choose whether to continue with your outbound dial or to snag that return call you were only hoping would come through.

Eliminate Callback Logging Loss: For return calls, just like outbound calls, you can take notes, add sentiment/disposition, and rest assured knowing that your info and the record of your call will make it back to Salesforce. It’s not magic, it’s Salesloft.

Keep Your Data Clean: If the incoming call wasn’t mapped to a person or company, or perhaps was mapped to the wrong person or company, fixing it is easy and familiar – it takes the same steps as when you’re using the Salesloft dialer for outbound calls.

And my personal favorite…

One Number To Rule Them All: Use your assigned Salesloft number as your work number in your signature line, on your business card (digital + physical), and everywhere else. Enjoy the luxury of having all calls to this number available in Salesloft so you can add notes, sentiment, and disposition for logging to Salesforce. Boom.

NOTE: If your callbacks behave the same as they always did, you’ll want to make sure you are on the latest version of the Salesloft Chrome extension. To get the latest version, click here for detailed instructions.
