You may have seen the headlines about Apple's new iOS update that screens calls from unknown numbers. When your job is to connect with people, any change to how the phone rings can feel like a new hurdle. But this new feature isn't the end of outbound calling. In fact, we see it as an opportunity for skilled sales professionals to stand out. It’s less of a roadblock and more of a new step in the process, one you can easily navigate with the right strategy. Here’s what you need to know and how Salesloft can help. What is iOS Call Screening? A Quick Explainer When an iPhone user with this feature enabled gets a call from a number not in their contacts, here's what happens: An automated AI assistant answers first. It asks you for your name and the reason for your call. Your live response is instantly transcribed into text on the prospect's screen. Based on that real-time transcript, the prospect can choose to Answer your call, send you to Voicemail, or block the number. Think of it as a live, text-based screener for your call. 5 Things Salesloft Users Need to Know 1. The Good News: It’s Opt-In, and Your Call Still Gets Through First, this feature is off by default, so not everyone will be using it. More importantly, even when it's active, your call still makes the prospect's phone ring and notifies them after the AI has transcribed your message. You haven't been blocked, you've been given a chance to make your case. 2. Your "Transcript Test" is Your New First Impression When the AI asks why you're calling, your answer is instantly transcribed for the prospect to read. This is your new opener. You have a few seconds to craft a message that's clear, concise, and valuable. Think of it as your call's subject line. It needs to be compelling enough to earn a click (or, in this case, an answer). Less Effective: "Hi, this is Bob, I'm just calling to follow up and see if you had a chance to look at my email." More Effective: "Hi, this is Maria from Salesloft. I'm calling with a quick idea for how your team can reduce manual data entry." The second one clearly states the value and gives the prospect a reason to engage. 3. Protect Your Caller Reputation Here’s where a solid foundation is crucial. If carriers have already flagged your number as "Spam Likely," Apple's call screening might not even give you a chance to speak. Your call could be blocked outright. Your caller reputation is more important than ever. The simplest way to improve your odds is to not be an unknown caller. A prospect who recognizes your name or company is far more likely to accept your call. Use your Salesloft Cadences to create familiarity before you dial. When your call follows a recent LinkedIn connection or a relevant email, it's no longer a "cold call." It's a timely follow-up from a name they've seen before, making them much more likely to hear you out. 5. Establish Trust with the Right Dialer Tools The details of how your call appears matter. The Salesloft Dialer includes features designed to build legitimacy from the very first ring. LocalDial : Calling from a local area code feels more familiar and relevant to a prospect, increasing the chance they'll answer. CallerID Name (CNAM) : Displaying your company name provides immediate context and professionalism, signaling that your call is from a credible source. These tools help present your call in the best possible light, improving your chances of getting past the AI screen and getting connected. The Takeaway This iOS update isn't a barrier to outbound sales; it's an evolution. It filters out low-effort, generic calls while rewarding thoughtful, prepared, and value-driven outreach. By adapting your approach, focusing on quality, and using the tools in your Salesloft stack, you can continue to make smarter, more effective connections that lead to real conversations.

Rhythm & Cadence Conversations Platform, Data, & CRM Rhythm & Cadence Implement Scheduled AI Email Generation AI-generated Emails in Cadences are generated prior to clicking the Run Cadence Step button which reduces time spent waiting for the email to generate. Who: Implement Scheduled AI Email Generation is available to all Salesloft users. When: This feature is generally available. Where: Implement Scheduled AI Email Generation is found when generating AI emails within a Cadence Step. Enhancements for AI-generated emails Various improvements such as refining the AI prompts and adding additional data points and context to the emails have been implemented to AI-generated emails. Who: Enhancements for AI-generated emails are available to all Salesloft users. When: This feature is generally available. Where: Enhancements for AI-generated Emails are found when generating AI emails within a Cadence Step. Conversations Participant Improvements We've updated the UI label from "Attendees" to "Participants" to better align with current industry terminology and improve consistency within the product. Who: Participant Improvements are available to all Salesloft users. When: This feature is generally available. Where: Participant Improvements can be found on the Conversations Details Page. Conversations in Global Search Salesloft users can search for a specific person, account, or conversation title in the Global Navigation Menu to surface the most recent conversations held. Platform, Data, & CRM AI Conversation Insights The Conversation Insights report in Drift provides powerful, automated analysis of your Bionic Chatbot conversations. This feature helps you understand what your site visitors are asking and how well your AI is performing, enabling you to refine your content strategy and personalize buyer interactions. Who: Available to Drift customers who have Bionic Chatbots enabled. When: This feature is generally available. In this article, we will highlight Salesloft's newest features and functionality. Conversations Platform, Data, & CRM Conversations Scorecard Analytics Scorecard Analytics surfaces aggregated Scorecard data to teams, allowing you to assess meeting performance across teams or departments, understand coaching consistency and impact, and empower data-driven decisions for improved rep performance. Who: Visible for users with Conversations Access enabled and "View team analytics" permission enabled for their role. Collaborators will not be able to view this report. Private scores are only visible to the scorer/scored users. However, users with the “Manage Scorecards” permission can view private scores. When: This feature will gradually roll out to users over the coming week. Where: To access Scorecards Analytics, click on Conversations Insights in the Analytics drop-down and then select the Scorecards tab. How: See the “Conversations Scorecards Analytics” article to learn more. Platform, Data, & CRM Control Drop-In Voicemail Recordings Control Drop-In Voicemail Recordings allows Salesloft admins to enable or disable the Salesloft Dialer Drop-In Voicemail Recordings setting. Controlling this setting can help you adhere to compliance rules your company may have. Who: The setting toggle is only accessible by Salesloft Admins. The setting applies to all Salesloft users. When: This feature is generally available. Where: Control Drop-In Voicemail Recordings is located within the General section of the Dialer Settings page. How: See the "Manage Team Dialer Settings" article to learn more. Command Center Opportunity Drill Downs The Command Center Opportunity Drill Downs allow you to click any metric in the Command Center to see the list of opportunities that make up that number. Use these drill downs to gain immediate visibility into the health and performance of your prospecting and closing efforts, and quickly identify areas for improvement and focus. Who: Available to all Salesloft users. When: This feature is generally available. Where: Can be found in the Command Center. To access Command Center, hover over the Analytics tab and select Command Center. How: Once in the Command Center, click on any metric within the Prospecting or Closing Funnels to view the contributing opportunities. Bulk User Creation via CSV file The Bulk Import Users via CSV feature allows an Admin to quickly add users to Salesloft in lieu of sending individual user invite emails, which streamlines user onboarding and saves administrators’ time. Who: Available to all Salesloft users with Admin permissions. When: This feature is generally available. Where: Can be found on the Users Settings. To access, go to the Settings and find the Users Settings page under the Team section. Key Questions for the Community: Daily Usability: How intuitive is the interface for your sales team? Any steep learning curves? Does the cadence automation actually save time compared to manual outreach? Impact on Results: What measurable improvements have you seen in response rates or pipeline growth? Any surprising limitations in reporting/analytics? Integration & Workflow: How well does it play with your CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) in practice? Any clever hacks to maximize efficiency? Hey Champions! Savannah Warbington here, Customer Success Architect at Salesloft! 👋🏼 I want to talk about a common topic I hear: how to use automation rules to move people between cadences. This is a powerful way to boost efficiency and personalize your outreach in Salesloft and can save you time while also ensuring the right message reaches the right person at the right time. Let’s dive in! Why Automate Cadence Transitions? Save time: No more manual moving! Automation handles it for you. ⏱️ Personalize the journey: Move prospects to different cadences based on their behavior or stage. 🎯 Improve engagement: Keep your messaging relevant and timely. ✉️ Streamline workflows: Create smoother transitions between different stages of your sales process. ⚙️ How to Do It While the exact steps can vary a bit, here's the general process: Navigate to Automation Rules: In Salesloft, go to Settings, then Automation Rules. Create a New Rule: Click "Create New Rule". Define the Trigger: What action should trigger the move? Examples: Person replies to an email. Person clicks a link in an email. A call is logged. A meeting is booked. A person finishes a cadence. A person changes in Salesloft. Set the Criteria (if needed): Add criteria to further refine when the rule should fire. For example, only move people with a certain call disposition/sentiment or whose Person Stage is “XYZ Value”. Define the Action: Choose "Add to Cadence" or "Remove from Cadence" and select the target cadence. Save and Enable: Make sure to save your rule and toggle it to "on." Common Use Cases Move Hot Leads: When a prospect shows high engagement (e.g., multiple link clicks, replies), automatically move them to a high-priority cadence. 🔥 Nurture Cadences: If a prospect doesn't engage with an initial cadence, move them to a nurture cadence for continued outreach. 🪴 Post-Meeting Follow-up: Automatically add people to a follow-up cadence after a meeting is booked. 📅 Lost Deal Cadences: Move prospects to a "closed/lost" cadence for continued engagement and potential future opportunities. 💔 Customer Journey Cadences: Add people to cadences after they become a customer to stay in touch and make sure they are utilizing your platform. 📝 I’d love to hear from you: How are you moving people between cadences in Salesloft? Any suggestions on the idea to set Preference for which phone number to use in dialer? Eg we have mobile as preference but we need to switch every time. Yes we can map our numbers differently but will have confusing naming conventions in the system.
