Since launching snippets last year, they’ve become a firm customer favorite – providing an efficient way to personalize communications and create more targeted conversations with your buyers. Our recent personalization research examining 6 million emails demonstrated the relationship between personalization and email performance, showcasing that even a little personalization can double the reply rates of your emails.
Snippets can be added to email messages with a single click and are available in the SalesLoft platform as well as when creating emails in Gmail, Outlook, and Salesforce. As a quick reminder, snippets are:
- Small – insert a few words, a couple of sentences, or even a link or two. It’s easy to add multiple snippets to a single template.
- Reusable – once you create them, you can use them over and over again.
- Editable – as your content or needs changes, so can your snippets.
- Easily accessible – whether you’re sending directly from SalesLoft – or even directly in Gmail – snippets are available directly from the email compose window.
- Individual or team-based – allowing the flexibility to use them the right way for your organization.
- Complimentary with templates – templates provide the overall structure and content of an email communication, but snippets grant sales teams the ability to personalize that content specific to the buyer.
Recent enhancements for improved snippet management allow for copying, archiving, exporting, and changing the owner of snippets. Whether or not you’re a snippet novice, or consider yourself a snippet guru, we’ve compiled some of the most frequent ways snippets are providing value to our customers.
Screenshare and/or Dial-In Information
Using the same dial-in or screen-share information for meetings, demos, or ad-hoc conversations? Simply drop the information into a snippet and easily insert into emails.
Objection Handling Responses
Savvy sales reps know how to handle common objections or FUD from competitors. Drop in objection handling scripts to help your team have the right response to common objections.
Questions to Create Urgency
Our latest research highlighted that creating urgency with prospects is a challenge for nearly two-thirds of reps. Leverage common questions or tactics for inspiring urgency in snippets so they’re always easily accessible.
Links to Sales Tools
Supply links to commonly used sales tools leveraged in the sales cycle to close deals including ROI calculators, economic impact assessments, or analyst reports.
Case Study Information
Create a master case study snippet with links and descriptions or a dedicated snippet for each case study to showcase how you and your company have solved challenges similar to those your customer is experiencing.
Invite to an Upcoming Event
Create a snippet with an overview and registration link to an upcoming webinar, an in-person event, or a conference.
Launch a New Product or Service
Work with Product Marketing to highlight the value propositions, descriptions, and resources supporting new product announcements and service offerings.
Provide Support and Additional Training
If you’re customer facing and don’t have anything in your signature about where a customer can submit a support ticket, or go for additional training, create a snippet so that you can quickly respond when the question arises.
Work with Marketing to Standardize Messaging
Offer your Marketing team the opportunity to audit, revise, and update your snippets to ensure that there is consistent messaging across the entire sales team around your value propositions and messaging standards.
