One of the things I’ve found is a lot of people are communicating in meetings and they’ve got multiple things going on. They’re sending emails, and I think it’s okay to have a back channel set up, but I’ve been really cognizant of telling the team, “Okay, we’re in this conversation, let’s all shut everything else on our laptops. Let’s really dive in. Let’s dig in.
