Product Release: Roles and Permissions

March 7, 2017

Governance of feature accessibility is incredibly important within a modern sales organization. At Salesloft we understand the flexibility needed to customize permissions based on role.

We are so excited to release Roles and Permissions for all Enterprise Tier customers. Simple to implement for smaller teams, robust functionality for even the largest enterprise organizations.

Modern organizations need the ability to customize their team’s roles. For example, the ability to create mid-tier managers, with access to see and edit what their team does (templates, cadences, people), but without the ability to edit administrative settings that affect how the tool works for everyone on the team (Salesforce Sync configuration, billing).

R+P

How it works:

Fully customizable profiles:
Roles allow you to change the security and administration of Salesloft. Each role defines a group of users who have certain privileges.

Create as many profiles as you need:
Custom roles can be created and named in one step, and will copy initial permissions from an existing default or custom role selected by you

Enterprise grade governance:
Permissions let admins control more granularly what users can do and see in Salesloft. You can define a specific set of permissions for each role, though the default Amin and User permissions cannot be edited.

Permissions

The first iteration of Salesloft permissions include:

Basic permissions:

  • People (import, mark DNC)
  • Team Templates
  • Company Management page
  • Automation Rules

Manager permissions:

  • View/Filter/Export Analytics team-wide
  • Admin page access (including inviting team members)
  • Payments page access
  • Manage settings on Dialer/Local Dial/Recordings

With Salesloft Roles & Permissions, admins are able to granularly create, customize and assign roles and permissions to various parts of the app.

Thank you for enabling Salesloft to continue to serve you. As always, we are excited to hear your feedback! If you have any questions please check out the Knowledge Base, or contact [email protected].
