November Product RoundUp

December 11, 2017

Here’s your monthly roundup of the top innovations coming from the Salesloft team. This month, we make your AEs’ lives easier, salute the power of video in sales, get geeky with some database architecture and invite you to join us in Rising Above the Noise @ Rainmaker.

Empowering Your Closers

We’ve built the Salesloft platform to serve your entire revenue team – from prospecting to closing and subsequent renewals. This month saw the launch of two important enhancements to support the workflows of account executives – your “closers”.

Account Executives are spending the majority of their time tracking, updating and managing their opportunities. Salesloft’s expanded bi-directional sync with Salesforce now seamlessly integrates opportunity data directly into the Salesloft platform. We now present the ability to view, edit, and one-click access Salesforce Opportunities from within the Salesloft platform, providing an enhanced workflow and the ability to better prioritize their daily activities.

Opps-edit

When we introduced Connect for Gmail and Connect for Outlook, our eyes were firmly fixed on serving modern sales professionals who spend the majority of their day in the inbox. But in the pursuit of providing the best buying experience possible for potential buyers, we know that the inbox does not always equate to sitting in front of a laptop and sending emails. Modern sellers are communicating at all times of the day, across whatever device is most convenient (including cell phone and tablets), resulting in activities performed but perhaps not properly logged.

With our new capability to sync outgoing emails, teams can now log all email activities from their connected email accounts regardless of the device that it was sent from or whether they “loft” their emails from Gmail or Outlook.

Vidyard Goes Freemium

The ability to create personalized and buyer-centric messaging is critical to success. To date, these channels have consisted mostly of phone, email, and social touches. As the selling landscape evolves, buyers are more informed than ever. So how can the best sellers cut through the noise? Through the next channel for modern sales communications – video.

vidyard2

We are extremely excited to announce our extended partnership with Vidyard. Through our Vidyard GoVideo partnership, every Salesloft user can record and send videos from Salesloft – free of charge. The Vidyard integration, the first of it’s kind with a sales engagement tool, makes it easy to add a custom, personalized video message to your Salesloft sales email or email templates.

New Database Architecture

We’ve been humbled by the growth that Salesloft has been able to achieve over the last few years, and excited to continue to serve the needs of our customers in the future. That growth, however, does not come without its challenges. In this transparent blog, Scott Mitchell, our CTO, shares openly about the technology team’s process for implementing a more scalable and extensible database architecture, and what it will mean for our customers moving forward.
